Puncture repairs
We come to the car. Most punctures are repaired and back on the road within 30 minutes, at your home, your work or the side of the road.
There is never a good time for a flat
A puncture always happens on the worst possible morning. The advantage of a mobile repair is that you do not have to limp somewhere on a space saver or wait around in a waiting room. We come to where the car already is and you carry on with your day.
Most punctures are repairable. If the object went through the tread area and the tyre has not been driven on flat, a proper plug and patch repair from the inside will last the rest of the tyre's life. That is a fraction of the price of a new tyre and we will always try it first.
Some are not repairable, and we will tell you straight when that is the case rather than patching something that is not safe.
What we can and cannot repair
- Tread area punctures, yes
- Sidewall damage, no
- Shoulder damage, no
- A tyre driven flat, usually no
- Splits and bulges, no
These are safety limits, not a sales tactic. A sidewall repair can fail at speed, so nobody reputable will do one.
What to look out for
Usually under 30 minutes
Most repairs are done and dusted before you have finished a coffee.
Repaired properly
Removed from the rim, patched from the inside and rebalanced, not a string plug shoved in from the outside.
Wherever the car is
Driveway, office car park, or the roadside if that is where it stopped.
